Attorney and Counselor at Law
No two individuals or families are alike and each solution is unique to the individual or family.
In addition to my law practice, I have engaged myself in the local community, participating in numerous nonprofits, the local Rotary club and the Chamber of Commerce. My wife and I have raised several puppies for a wonderful organization, Canine Companions for Independence. This has brought us much joy as we help the puppies become assistance dogs for people with disabilities.
I graduated from Hastings College of the Law, University of California, with a Juris Doctor Degree in 1973. I am licensed to practice law in California and an active member of the State Bar of California, registered as Carl H. Allen, Jr. I am also a member of the Trust and Estate Section of the American Bar Association and a member of Wealth Counsel, a national network of estate and business planning attorneys. Practicing law for over thirty years, I spent much of his legal career litigating business, real estate, construction, and insurance disputes in law firms in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Born and raised in San Francisco, I graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1965, followed by a five year tour of duty on Polaris submarines. I am married to Jeanne Allen, who assists me in the law practice. We have a yellow Labrador Retriever, Gulliver, who we puppy-raised for Canine Companions for Independence, and came back to us as a pet when she was released from CCI.
I pride myself in working with clients in a counseling centered collaborative way to help find solutions for individuals, their families, and business.
